Location and Directions

Rainbow Campground is situated in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, one of Arizona's most scenic and diverse recreation areas. It is located on the shores of Big Lake, one of the premier fishing lakes in the White Mountains.

To get there, take Highway 260 east from Pinetop-Lakeside to Highway 273. Turn south on Highway 273 and follow it to the Big Lake entrance sign. Turn left and follow the road to the campground.
