The campground is generally open year-round, but with limited services between November and February.

Campsites and Reservations

The campground consists of 51 campsites which can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs (up to 30 feet in length on some sites). The sites are well-defined and set among natural vegetation to preserve the wilderness experience.

  • Reservations are strongly recommended, as the campground is extremely popular, especially during the peak season (March through October).
  • Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance through Recreation.gov.
  • A few sites remain available on a first-come, first-served basis but fill up quickly.

Seasonal Considerations

  • Weather: Conditions can vary widely with hot summers and cold winters. Be prepared for sudden changes in weather, and always bring adequate gear.
