Malibu Creek State Park is located in the Santa Monica Mountains in Calabasas, California. The park's address is:

Directions: From Los Angeles, take the 101 Freeway to the Las Virgenes Road exit, then head south on Las Virgenes Road for about four miles until you reach the park entrance.

Camping Facilities

The park offers a family campground with 63 individual campsites for tents, trailers, and RVs (up to 30 feet). Each site usually includes a fire ring and picnic table, with bathrooms and coin-operated showers available nearby. There are no hookups for RVs, but there is a dump station.

Reservations

Camping reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak seasons and weekends. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance through the Reserve California website or by phone.

Fees

There are fees for camping that vary depending on the site and facilities. Day-use fees are also required for those not camping but utilizing the park for hiking, picnicking, or other activities.

Hiking: The park offers over 35 miles of trails for hiking, running, and mountain biking, including paths that lead to stunning vistas, such as the view from the top of the Rock Pool.

Fishing: Malibu Creek is a popular spot for catch-and-release fishing.

  • Quiet Hours: Observe quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to ensure a peaceful experience for all campers.
  • Wildlife: Do not feed wildlife and be aware of the park's ecosystems. Snakes, including rattlesnakes, are native to the area.
