Sugarite Canyon State Park is situated in northeastern New Mexico near the town of Raton. The park straddles the Colorado-New Mexico border and is easily accessible via Interstate 25. Visitors can access the park by taking exit 452 from I-25 onto NM-72 East, which leads directly to the park entrance.
