Activities and Amenities

Boating and Kayaking: Canoe Lake allows non-powered or electric motorboats. Boating enthusiasts can use the boat launches available at the park to access the lake. Boat rental is also available during the summer months.

Fishing: The lake is stocked with trout, and other species like bass and panfish are also present. Pennsylvania fishing regulations apply, so a fishing license is required for anyone 16 years of age or older.

Hiking: Over 12 miles of trails are available for hiking at Canoe Creek State Park, allowing visitors to explore diverse habitats.

Camping: Camping is not available directly within Canoe Creek State Park, but nearby state parks and private campgrounds offer camping services.

Picnicking: There are numerous picnic areas throughout the park, many of which provide pavilions that can be reserved in advance.

Swimming: There is no swimming allowed in Canoe Lake, but the park provides a large sand beach at the day-use area during the summer months.

Reservations: Pavilion reservations and boat rental arrangements can be made in advance through the Pennsylvania State Park reservation system.

Pets: Pets are permitted in Canoe Creek State Park in designated areas as long as they are controlled and on a leash no longer than 6 feet.

Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Pennsylvania state parks, including Canoe Creek State Park.

Fires: Fires are permitted only in designated grills and fire rings. Collecting firewood in the park is prohibited; however, firewood may be available for purchase or you can bring your own.

Environmental Protection: Visitors are encouraged to practice 'Leave No Trace' principles to conserve park resources and enhance the experience of future visitors.

Operating Hours: Canoe Creek State Park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day-use areas close at dusk.
