Overview
Lost Maples State Natural Area is a unique park located in Vanderpool, Texas, particularly known for its beautiful autumn foliage. It encompasses the Sabinal River and features rugged limestone canyons, springs, plateau grasslands, wooded slopes, and clear streams. It also possesses a large population of Uvalde bigtooth maples, from which it derives its name.
